ME Primer

The panel of ME specialists who wrote the International Consensus Criteria for the diagnosis of ME have now brought out a Primer for Medical Practitioners. Beginning with basic information about classification, epidemiology, and etiology, it then goes on to a detailed description of the pathophysiology of ME, and follows this with sections discussing diagnosis, and management and treatment.

The primer is a not-for-profit educational document which can be downloaded and reprinted without charge (subject to basic conditions). I would thoroughly recommend that any medical practitioner who is treating ME patients avail themselves of this opportunity to learn more about the illness from the leading team of experts in the field.
